Sent message segments

Have you ever sent a message and wanted to follow-up with contacts that opened the message or clicked a link? Now you can with Savvy Sender Sent Message Segments, which allows you to select the following segments for a sent message:

• Opened – contacts that opened the sent message
• Unopened – contacts that did not open the sent message
• Clicked – contacts that clicked a link in the sent message
• Not clicked – contacts that did not click a link in the sent message

For example, if you previously sent a sales promotion and only want to email contacts that did not open the message, you could find the previous sent message and select the “Unopened” segment.

The all new consolidated selection window offers the ability to select lists, contacts, and sent message segments from the same window without having to select lists and contacts from separate windows when composing a new message. It even shows recent items first, so you can quickly resend to recent lists and contacts.

Savvy Search™ has been integrated into the search box of the consolidated selection window and offers real-time search results as you type. This provides users the ability to quickly and easily add lists, contacts, and sent messages segments to a new message.

Have you ever pasted content with unlinked Web addresses or email addresses from Microsoft Word into Savvy Sender? We recently added a great new feature, which automatically links Web addresses and email addresses!

The following is sample content pasted into Savvy Sender from Microsoft Word:

After clicking the yellow "Save & Continue" button, Savvy Sender automatically converts Web addresses and email addresses into links:

Even though we have this great new feature, we recommend manually turning Web addresses and email addresses into links when required, instead of relying on the new auto link functionality.

Note: Pressing space bar or enter on the keyboard after a Web address or email address will automatically turn it into a link in Microsoft Word and Savvy Sender.

Savvy Sender has had several customers request the ability to export (download) opens and clicks for a sent message. Based on those requests, we have added new functionality to accomplish this.

After logging into Savvy Sender:

1. Click the "Messages" tab
2. Click the subject of a sent message (under Message column)
3. Click the "View All Emails" button
4. Click "Opened", "Unopened", "Clicked", or "Not Clicked" (at the bottom of the page, next to "Export:")

The Savvy Sender team has been hard at work since officially launching in October 2012. We have added a ton of new features, functionality, and improved the user experience. A few of the new updates include:

The new delete contact confirmation window helps users comply with CAN-SPAM by providing easy access to unsubscribe a contact from a list or set the contact as “Do Not Email”, instead of deleting the contact. For example, if a contact is deleted instead of unsubscribed, and then re-imported into the list, the contact will be sent future emails even though the contact chose to opt-out, which may cause CAN-SPAM compliance issues.

Spam is typically determined based on the content of the current message and the sender's reputation. For most public email providers such as Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo!, AOL, etc., the sender's reputation is determined by previously sent messages and the sender's from address (or sender's domain).

Individual emails marked as spam are often delivered, but they are put into the contact's "Spam" or "Junk E-mail" folder. In some cases, email can be blocked without delivery.

Private companies and organizations often use similar metrics to determine spam; however, it can vary drastically based on anti-spam firewalls, email software, and many other factors.

To improve delivery rates, ask your contacts to add your from address (or your domain) to their "Whitelist" or "Safe Sender List".

Note: if the sender's domain is used for the sender's reputation, then all from addresses for a particular domain could be affected.
