Boost Engagement with New Social Media Sharing

by SavvySender Tuesday, June 18, 2013 11:52 AM EST

Savvy Sender has always supported including links to your social profiles in messages (which can be setup through the “Account” link at the top of the page when you are logged in); however, we have added a new feature that provides deeper social media integration and allows you to quickly and easily share sent messages on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.

To access the new share on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn buttons (which are retroactively available for all sent messages), login to Savvy Sender and click on a sent message to view the email tracking report. In the report, you will see three new share buttons just below the message statistics. Click each button to post to the respective social network. Posting sent messages to social networks is a great way to boost engagement and reuse content for multiple sales channels.

Note: To post as a page on Facebook, login to Facebook and switch to the page before clicking the Share on Facebook button in Savvy Sender.

New Feature – Web Version (Web Archive)

by SavvySender Tuesday, June 11, 2013 2:22 PM EST

Did you know that some email programs (especially on older mobile phones and devices) may not be capable of displaying images or complex layouts?

To ensure messages can be viewed as you intended, Savvy Sender has recently launched a new email marketing feature, based on user requests, that allows contacts to open a Web version (also called Web archive) of their personalized email in a Web browser. Including a Web version link often improves email open rates.

Please contact us if you have any questions, suggestions, or would like help adding a Web version link to your templates.

Savvy Search™ – New “Contact does not exist” indicator

by SavvySender Monday, April 15, 2013 11:10 AM EST

Previously, we increased Savvy Search™ relevance for exact email address matches on contacts by bringing them to the top of the search results.

After reviewing data from Savvy Sender sessions we noticed users were still submitting searches for a contact by email address and then paging through the search results to find the contact even though the contact did not exist.

To enhance Savvy Search™ further, when searching for a contact by email address, we added a new indicator, which tells the user when a contact does not exist. A link is also provided to easily create a contact with the email address that was used in the search.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions, comments, or suggestions.

New Import Contacts overview, import contacts from Google Contacts & Outlook (drag & drop), and more

by SavvySender Monday, April 15, 2013 9:45 AM EST

The Savvy Sender team recently deployed many new updates, which are focused on making the service even easier to use.

Our first goal was to provide more ways to bring contacts into Savvy Sender. We started by changing the “Import Contacts” link throughout the website, which now links to an overview of import contact options instead of linking directly to the upload file import contacts option. This change allows us to add more import options and immediately expose existing functionality, such as subscriptions forms and scheduled imports.

Two of the great new import contact options we have added are:

  • Google Contacts - add contacts from Google Contacts, Gmail, Google Voice, etc.
  • Outlook - add contacts by dragging and dropping contacts/people from Microsoft Outlook 2007+

Both new import contact options will be covered in-depth in separate knowledge base articles.

As part of the revised import contacts overview, we added “Recent Imports” to the bottom of the page, which provides quick access to the import contacts history.

We strive to provide our users with the best email marketing experience and we hope you enjoy the new features, updates, and improvements!

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions, comments, or suggestions.

NEW: Sent message segments and consolidated message compose selection window with Savvy Search™ integration!

by SavvySender Monday, March 25, 2013 5:34 PM EST

Sent message segments

Have you ever sent a message and wanted to follow-up with contacts that opened the message or clicked a link? Now you can with Savvy Sender Sent Message Segments, which allows you to select the following segments for a sent message:

  • Opened – contacts that opened the sent message
  • Unopened – contacts that did not open the sent message
  • Clicked – contacts that clicked a link in the sent message
  • Not clicked – contacts that did not click a link in the sent message

For example, if you previously sent a sales promotion and only want to email contacts that did not open the message, you could find the previous sent message and select the “Unopened” segment.

Message compose selection window

The all new consolidated selection window offers the ability to select lists, contacts, and sent message segments from the same window without having to select lists and contacts from separate windows when composing a new message. It even shows recent items first, so you can quickly resend to recent lists and contacts.

Savvy Search™ has been integrated into the search box of the consolidated selection window and offers real-time search results as you type. This provides users the ability to quickly and easily add lists, contacts, and sent messages segments to a new message.

We hope you love the new Savvy Sender updates! Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions, comments, suggestions or feedback.

December 2012 Updates

by SavvySender Wednesday, December 26, 2012 4:03 PM EST

The Savvy Sender team has been hard at work since officially launching in October 2012. We have added a ton of new features, functionality, and improved the user experience. A few of the new updates include:

  • When viewing a list, “Quick Add Contacts”, “Import Contacts”, and “New Message” buttons have been added (which automatically selects the list)
  • When viewing a contact, a “New Message” button has been added (which automatically selects the contact)
  • When composing a message, a “New” From Address button has been added (next to the “From Address” drop-down) to make it quicker to send from a different email address
  • Many new templates and categories
  • Faster sending of messages
  • Higher delivery rates
  • Bug fixes
  • New delete contact confirmation window
  • And much more

The new delete contact confirmation window helps users comply with CAN-SPAM by providing easy access to unsubscribe a contact from a list or set the contact as “Do Not Email”, instead of deleting the contact. For example, if a contact is deleted instead of unsubscribed, and then re-imported into the list, the contact will be sent future emails even though the contact chose to opt-out, which may cause CAN-SPAM compliance issues.

In addition to these great new features and updates, we have a lot of exciting things planned for 2013!

As always, we look forward to helping you grow your business or organization with email marketing.
